A friend of mine said that one moon filled night, traveling with his girlfriend, and her parents on a lonely gravel road, deep in the mountainous woods of southern Ohio, listening to the soothing sounds of one Phil Collins. The dust filled headlights of their mini van illuminated something coming down the hill and into the road. The worn brakes of the old mini van sprang into action in a cloud of gravel and dust as what he described as, " a Mongoloid looking huge thing, hunched over and running on two legs, with hair all over its body", darted across the old country road.
The bi-pedal mammal dashed in front of their path, looked at them with large dark eyes for only a moment, barely even giving them notice, never breaking its large hulking stride. As soon as it appeared it was gone down the steep dark embankment on the other side of the twisting road. All within the stopped automobile were frozen within their fear. Their hearts beat with the fast rhythm of the sweet sounds of Phil Collins epic ballad "Air Tonight", that still played in the otherwise silent vehicle. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Finally, in desperation this friend of mine screamed out, "GO! JUST GO!"
Almost in tears at the terror they had encountered on this dark and lonely night, they left the scene of the sighting. My friend told me this with sincere eyes, and said story was backed up by the others that were said to have been there.
Was this burly beast a so called Bigfoot, or even some other unknown species that traverses the deep woods of the Ohio valley? Or was it that fat harry guy in the locker room of my gym, that insist on standing naked on a chair in front of the mirror while flexing, and saying, "OH, YEAH BABY! DADDY LIKE! DADDY REALLY LIKES!!!" (I've never been in the locker room since. Still have nightmare's by the way. True story.)
Was this encounter one from the legend of Bigfoot? Or was it a night of fun with hallucinogens gone bad. Although he insist hallucinogenics were not an issue this particular evening. I guess I will never know. This mystery wrapped in an enigma will remain as such.
Now everybody [shadow=red,left,300]DANCE!!!
