after reading some post on the F & A section i wrote this..and thought it should be its own post..so if ya have been to any other kick ass haunts..tell us all about em..so we can check em out..
i think after reading this..we should give props to some of the most kick ass haunts i have seen...
NETHERWORLD in Georgia...is kick ass all the way..it covers all the bases except for bloody gory illusions..but some great actors there for sure. i think more than makes up for it..
the DARKNESS in Missouri is raising the bar for quality sets...check out their website and look at those pics..kick ass all the way...
and for closer to home check out the Haunted Schoolhouse here in Akron Ohio....in my opinion it kicks ass all day long...not intense like the hoochie...but non are..but it definately is top notch..they have a tesla coil that throws 20 foot sparks right at ya...hell yeah..now that is what i am talkin bout...
House of Shock..operated by band members of Pantera..in New Orleans...they throw buckets of blood right on people..like a Gwar concert..and make no excuses...hell yeah..now that has to hurt business alittle bit...but that doesn't stop em....my kinda haunt is true to their art..no matter how others might feel...props to you HOS

yes i am certian it wasn't erebus...at least i would be very surprised...looks to me they handle takin their own pics.very well....some really great ones too...Ed and i have alot in common as far as the passion is concerned..i have never seen the haunt though..i wanted to go to haunt con just to see erebus..i have heard many good things.. thanks for all the props..but as far as the rest i don't think its a conspirosy..i am sure there are many kick ass haunts out there that no one knows about...or at least should i say that no one important in the industry has seen ..in order to cast such judgement..we have worked hard for many years..to to stand out in the crowd..we have been lucky..i owe much to many..but again thanks

VERY TRUE ( YOU ALWAYS STRAIGHTEN ME OUT ) I always seem to engage my mouth before I engage my brain..... i don't think its a conspirosy ( its just the voices in my head that egg me on ) I just thought of problems in the past and somehow summed them all up into one problem. There ( ARE FOR SURE ) allot of kick-ass haunts that never get noticed.... there was one that would only open every 2-3 year right here in OHIO by the name of ( cant remember ) but it was very evil..... blood gore etc. I want to say grindhouse but ( thats a movie ) anyways it was a very brutal gorey haunt up around Toledo. Noone had really heard of it because as soon as it left a blood spot on the map it was gone for another 2-3 years. ( Sorry for going overboard, its my personallity ( ( and the voices in my head of course) ) LMAO

After hearing much about Netherworld I had to check it out myself. Leviathan was Bad Ass no Doubt loads of detail the whole thing was layered creating a pretty cool atmosphere.I wish they would touch you and chase you around like at the hoochie! Thats not taking anthing away the characters are awesome and makeup Wow! Waiting to get in they have monsters and such outside theres a guy sliding around and cracking his knuckles and a tree man Yeah.Theres a floating girl with a demond baby inside how cool is that. The only thing that touched me was a mechanical shark that about knocked me down at the end.I would just ask to let your characters free!! Also Primal Fear that was Ok they have a semi in your face like at the hoochie water bug walls and a nasty bathroom. It was worth the 500 miles there... Has anyone been to the House of Shock Im planning a couple big trips next year sound like that should be on my list

You went to netherworld. I'm jealous. I bet it was awesome. Never had the pleasure myself. But if I could extract your brain somehow I could download your memories into my head, therefore remembering being there. Such an operation would cost thousands of dollars from me, along with your life from you. Many man hours and further weeks of research. Or I could just make the trip for myself. Ah, what the hell, I'm down to get my hands dirty, if you are. You know what they say, no pain no gain. Besides it could be fun (for me).

Hey guys, I saw the the piece on the inventor spot and had no idea where they came up with the pic that was with Erebus. I also came across the piece by accident and had no idea it was even posted.
I almost made it down to the Haunted Hoochie the last Thursday you were open but, I came down with the flu that morning. You know how it is burning the candle at both ends, it finally catches up to you, Hit me like a mac truck! I would love to see your show and be blown away! let me know if you ever open off season! I hope you had a great season!
again sorry about the pic mix up, Ed

No problem Ed. Sure it wasn't your mistake. By the way, thanks for your gracious hospitality this year when we made it up too your haunt. I must say it was amazing! We saw things we have never seen in any haunted house. Your place is drowning in originality. Very nice! And you were a great host. Thanks again. Oh, and I'm actually wearing my totally awesome Erebus T-shirt as I am typing this, love it. Everyone make the trip up to Michigan to see this top notch haunt. It was well worth the drive for us and I'm sure it will be for you as well.
